2010 - New & Improved Best Miami Makeup

It's been a while since I've updated my blog, so I'm taking this opportunity to let you know that for 2010, I will be updating it constantly, keep you all updated with what's going on with Best Miami Makeup, and will definitely keep you posted with more pictures. I know you all <3 pictures! I know I do!!

Actually, for Christmas, my husband bought me a new professional camera - which I'm still learning how to use, and my next project is to gather like 3 girls or more, depending on how much time we all have....and do their makeup, and also do a mini photo shoot with my new camera! Would love to do some fun outdoor scene, maybe by the park, or maybe some sexy ones. I don't have a studio, but I'm sure we could work it out. Anyone interested?

The other day I mentioned to my dad that I wanted a tripod. He said, "oh I have like 3 of them." Why would he have any, he doesn't even own a camera!!! LOL!  Well, he gave me the 'best' one he has and sure it enough, it fit perfect for my new camera!

As some of you know, I've been training and working out at the gym - getting ready for the big 30!! I want to look my best for my 30's, and photograph myself to create some cool pictures with my new camera, my new bod, and well....my 'somewhat' new tripod!

Video of Chantel Suarez's Photo Shoot

As you've been reading, Chantel Suarez is a fitness model, and she hired me as her makeup artist and hair stylist for her photo shoot! The photographer, Edgar Estrada, put together a video of her photo shoot and wanted to share with everyone because I think he did an excellent job! If you know anyone who needs a makeup artist for their own photo shoot, or it could be simply an event or party, please let me know about Best Miami Makeup!

Photo Shoot was a SUCCESS!

Our morning began at 9 a.m. Chantel shows up to my house to get her makeup and hair done and I ask her, "so, what are you wearing today?" She said "umm, a bathing suit, bikini, I have jeans, and a sports bra and shorts." My response was, "that's it?!?!?!" And off to my closet we went.

We headed out to The Lofts at Bayshore, where the photo shoot was going to take place. We then proceeded with the photo shoot outside where Edgar Estrada snapped shots of Chantel Suarez.

It began to rain so we changed the scene to inside the location. Edgar Estrada took amazing photography of Chantel Suarez posing with her cute hats (which I wanted to steal! LoL), dresses, and jewelry...while I retouched her makeup during every wardrobe change. For every outfit she changed, I created a different look on her eyes to match with the feel of the pictures and the outfit. I enjoyed every second of it...from moving her hair over here, and over there, and changing her hairstyle, cleaning the sweat off her forehead (making sure her face doesn't look shiny in the picture), retouching lipstick, making sure everything looks PERFECT for her photo shoot. After all, that's why she asked me to be there. To make sure she looked perfect.

And she sure did.

Chantel's photo shoot pictures will be uploaded very soon! Stay tuned!! Chantel will be competing at Fitness Universe in a couple of weeks. I will also be doing her hair and makeup for this event, so make sure to stay tuned for those pictures as well.

Photo shoot

A couple weeks ago, I had a photo shoot with a few of my closest friends and photography with studio one17 photography ! I did their makeup application and my own too for this photo shoot. Changing outfits, hats, scarfs, jewelry and posing for pictures inside and outside, we had an amazing time with our personal photo shoot. Over the weekend.....

...Veronica called me because it was her birthday, and wanted to look stunning on her.....umm, 23rd birthday! ;) I did her makeup on Friday night just a couple hours before heading out to celebrate. She went out with her closest friends for dinner and celebrated with a few drinks, martini's and great company!

Say cheeeeeese!!!

I'm excited about my new client! I met with a girl today who is going to compete in the Fitness Universe Pageant on June 19 & 20. She contracted me for makeup services! I'm very thrilled for this opportunity. Thank you Chantel! I can't wait to see how it turns out!
